About Joshua Logan
Joshua Lockwood Logan III was an American theatre and film director, producer, playwright, screenwriter, and actor. One of the most prolific and acclaimed Broadway directors of the 1940s and ‘50s, he was an eight-time Tony Award winner and shared a Pulitzer Prize for co-writing the musical South Pacific, and was involved in writing other musicals. For his film work, he was a three-time Academy Award nominee, twice for Best Director and once for Best Picture.
